About the artist

Pablo Sedres Ramos, born in 1977, is a visual artist since 2000. He was a member and co-founder of the National Association of Miniaturists of Cuba and the Association of Artists of Puebla in the Artist's Quarter. He has held more than 50 solo and group exhibitions in Cuba and Mexico, including: "Anthology of the Road," Arronte Building, 2nd floor, Benemérita Autonomous University of Puebla, Mexico in 2017; as a guest artist, he held group exhibitions at the José Luis Rodríguez Alconedo Gallery of the Puebla Artists Association in the Artist's Quarter; "Catrinas Mexican Art," Ana Sofía Gallery, Puebla, Puebla; and an auction exhibition at the Anonymous Gallery, JV Executive Tower, Puebla, Puebla, Mexico.

He has received numerous awards at visual arts events in Cuba, including:

First Prize, Poster. National Poster and Logo Competition for the Preparatory Triennium and Jubilee Year, commemorating the 400th anniversary of the discovery of the image of Our Lady of Charity of Cobre. Santiago de Cuba, Cuba. 2008.

Prize from the National Group of Miniaturists of Cuba, Camagüey Branch. 6th National Salon of Miniaturist Art. Remedios Villa Clara, 2010.

Pablo Sedres also has works in private collections in various regions of the world, including Mexico, Scotland, Venezuela, the United States, and Spain.

The discourse of Pablo Sedres's work essentially addresses the theme of philanthropy. It reflects the human being immersed in his reflections on himself and his multiple motivational situations, the psychosocial form of subsistence linked to his inner world and the beauty of the natural world. The works invite us to become a vehicle for contemplation, reflection, and inspiration for a more conscious and harmonious coexistence between humanity and nature.
